A little about us

Our history

Top End Pest Control isn’t a franchise—it’s been Territory owned and operated since 1992. Back then, it was a sole operator working out of his ute. Today, the company is run by former Victorian police detective Tim Lambert and his wife Cory, who took over in 2004 and set about not only growing the business but looking for ways to improve our industry’s standards.

We now have three offices, eight vehicles and 14 staff, and our team of technicians service an area of 1.4 million square kilometres all over the NT and into East Timor and the pacific island of Guam.

Our specialty

Termites

Termites. They destroy buildings and bank balances, and per square metre there are more here in the Northern Territory than anywhere else on earth. Pest controllers around Australia regard Top End Pest Control as the NT’s ‘go-to’ termite experts, recognition proudly built over 23 years.

Tim Lambert

We're part of the Territory community and strive to support the local economy and growth of the region by suppling unparalleled service and quality products to both residential and commercial clients. The value we place on training and innovation means our clients enjoy the close relationships and work ethic of a local business, while receiving the absolute best solution to suit them.

About Tim

Tim has a certificate III in Asset Protection – Pest Management and also holds a timber pest qualification (termite qualified). He is a graduate of the Australian Company Directors Course. Tim has been the head of the company for the past 11 years, and prior to this was a decorated Victoria police detective and recipient of the Ethical Standards Medal.

General Manager

Kylie Morehu

Kylie has extensive experience in office administration and project management. She previously held a position as the office manager for one of the NT largest mining companies. Kylie brought wealth of experience in project management to Top End Pest Control and is the point of contact for all our commercial contracts.

ISO certification and sustainable processes

The only ISO certified pest manager in the Northern Territory

We’re the only pest management company in the Territory (and one of a handful in Australia) with ISO certification for documentation, OH&S and environmental sustainability. And our recycling, waste-management and chemical-handling processes are second to none. While that industry-leading accreditation and our back-end processes and business framework matches that of any multinational pest control outfit, it’s our small-business model and attitude that keeps our customers happy year after year.

Contracts and awards

We value long term relationships and industry excellence

We have long-held contracts with INPEX, SKYCITY and Royal Darwin Hospital, and in 2013 we were awarded the NT Government’s sole pest management contract for the Top End of the NT and from Elliott to the South Australian border. That same year, Top End Pest Control was named the Telstra NT Small Business of the Year and then the overall NT Business of the Year.

As part of the Telstra awards, Top End Pest Control was recognised for contributing to Indigenous employment with the Indigenous training program we developed and ran for residents of remote Top End communities. As a result of that program, TEPC has qualified technicians in two remote communities. We also have the only female indigenous technician in the Northern Territory on staff in our Darwin branch.
